Here is my code, I know I am just missing something in the Export (last line) command to make it write the next iteration to a new cell, but nothing I am trying has worked.

for N from 25 by 5 to 50 do
for b from 0.01 by 0.01 to 0.25 do
for h from 0.02 by 0.02 to 0.2 do
for h1 from 0.015 by 0.005 to 0.1 do
  A1:=proc(N::posint,b1,e1,h0,h11,h21) local M;

Dear Maple users

I am working on importing data from an Excel-file "Data.xlsx" into Maple. This is done using the following commands:

> restart;
> with(ExcelTools);
> X := Import("Data.xlsx", 1, "A3:A63");

One strange behavior is the fact that I receive an error message: Error, (in ExcelTools:-Import) Could not open the file.

When I close the Maple file and open it again and reexecute, the error disappers and everything works....

In recent days, I have studied ExcelTools[Export]. Unfortunately, I still can not apply it.

oh, how??

Dear, can you provide an example?

A simple procedure:
> restart;
> A := Array([1, 2, 3,4,5,6])
> for i from 1 to 6 do
This procedure is runed, the results are
B[1] := 2
B[2] := 4
B[3] := 6
B[4] := 8
B[5] := 10
B[6] := 12

However, what I want is:
If A is saved in a arbitrary folder, for example c:\myp\*.txt(or excel,dat), how can I read these data?
Then, if I want last results to be saved in a folder, for example c:\myp\*.txt...

My problem is that MapleSim refuses to use my interpolation table, and the simulation stops, because it says the first column is not in ascending order. Seems easy to solve, but it is not! The column IS in ascending order, I even arranged it several times in Excel. I can't figure out what is the problem.

If someone has time, I attached the interpolation table.

Best regards; e6.xlsx

The Export function in ExcelTools completely overwrites Excel 2010 ".xlsx" files with no errors or messages.  The same command works properly for Excel 2003 ".xls" files.  It looks like a bug to me.

I more than 20000 data points on a an excel file and i want to plot one column against the other. So I imported 10 data points from each column seperately and tried ploting it as a normal plot but it would not work. I kept on getting error messages like

Error, (in plot) incorrect first argument [Array(1..10, 1..1, {(1, 1) = 0.83333e-2, (2, 1) = 0.166666e-1, (3, 1) = 0.249999e-1, (4, 1) = 0.333332e-1, (5, 1) = 0.416665e-1, (6, 1...

I got an MS Excel file where the matrix (7054x60) is created and the last row of the matrix is used for optimization of its (the matrix) values. In Maple you can create the matrix as follows:

M := Matrix(7054, 60):
for i to 10 do M[1, i] := 1 end do:

Mat_proc := proc(x)
  local i, j;
  global M;
  for i from 2 to 7054 do

Hi, I tried to export my answers into an excel file, but my numbers are all complex numbers.

It says "cannot export an rtable with complex values". How can I go about it?

Please advice. Many thanks.

Hello there,

Im using this code

> with(ExcelTools);

> L := Import("C:\parameters15.xlsx", "Sheet1", "A2:I2");
and I keep getting : Error, (in ExcelTools:-Import) Could not open the file.
What are the possible reasons for this? I have triple checked the file name, location and extension. It's all good.

I have some numerical values (excel-format) and i would like import them in my Maple page , after that i m traying to plot them but it s impossible , in fact when i click on the right button of my mouse , i haven't this option.

Please help me , and show me how i should do it in details , i m not an expert

thanks .

Currently, the size of a table/matrix which can be exported to a spreadsheet is limited to 255 columns X 65535 rows. I believe this rule was implemented because of the maximum possible size of a spreadsheet(Am I right?) . This used to be the case in Excel 2003, but since Excel 2007, a spreasheet  can be : 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns.

Maybe it is time to update this rule?

Excel 2003 :

How do I import/export excel into Maplesim? Also how do I view mpld data files? I tried viewing mpld files using maplesim and maple 14 but it didn't work.

Hi all

I am trying to draw a 3d plot from the data that I have created in excel, how do I import from excel to maple and then draw the 3d plot using array?

below is the link to my dataset in excel

your help is appreciated

I copied a column of figures from Excel and pasted them into an Maple worksheet.  Maple displayed a column vector with the appropriate values.  I set the variable y equal to this vector and was able to verify that, for example, y[3] had the correct value.  However, when I tried to use y[i] after a summation symbol which used i as the index I got the error message "Error, bad index into vector".  The summation expression worked fine when I redefined y by the following:

1 2 3 4 5 Page 4 of 5
