Hello,

I am trying to force Maple to read big matrices from files, produced by other programs (GAP in my case).

 

The output looks like this after it's been saved in a *.txt file:

[ [ 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0,
      0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0,
      0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0,

How can we import data directly from a zip file?  Does someone know how to?

When I use ImportMatrix to import a MATLAB mat file, I get a list of names and values. Should I write a "for" loop to assign them in Maple or there is an easier way to do it?

Dear Maple users

I am working on importing data from an Excel-file "Data.xlsx" into Maple. This is done using the following commands:

> restart;
> with(ExcelTools);
> X := Import("Data.xlsx", 1, "A3:A63");

One strange behavior is the fact that I receive an error message: Error, (in ExcelTools:-Import) Could not open the file.

When I close the Maple file and open it again and reexecute, the error disappers and everything works....

When I use the command 'ImportMatrix', this error occourred. And I could assure that the filename and directory are true.

The file is just a simple matrix in 3 dimensions. It contains seven lines and three rows. The screenshort is just as follows. 

And I want to know what's the error.
