   Consider a surface of the unit sphere about the origin, intersecting the volume of the cube [-a..a,-a..a,-a..a] 0<a<1.  What is the best Maple method to plot this surface with a direct mapping, that is without use of implicit plotting over a volume or rejecting grid points?

I'm attempting to plot the distribution of the fractional part of a sequence of real numbers in the interval (0,1], where the fractional part of a real number x is given by <x>=x-[x], where [x] is the floor function.

In particular, I'm attempting to plot <log(n)> and <n^a> where n is a natural number and 0<a<1.

I know that I can use frac() to obtain the fractional part of the expressions.

However, I'm not sure how to plot a two-dimensional plot where the x-axis consists of a range for n and the y-axis in the inteval [0,1). I found an example of what I'm trying to do here on page 1.

Does anyone have any tips on how to do this?

Good morning Maple Expert,

I would like to explain the concept of piecewise curves in 2D & 3D to my students with plots.In this regard I request the associated expetrs in Maple to provide the appropriate Maple commands to get piecewise curves in 3D space.

With warm regards.

i want to have plot int.  but i get error

"Error, (in type/EvalfableProp) too many levels of recursion"

how can i draw this plot

please help me . thank you

I'm trying to plot contours in Maple, but the 2d contour plot output is not pretty. I tried the following command:

contourplot(-(1/2)*y^2-(1/2)*x^2-(1-.3)/sqrt((x+.3)^2+y^2)+((-1)*.3)/sqrt((x-1+.3)^2+y^2), x = -1.5 .. 1.5, y = -1.5 .. 1.5, axes = boxed)

and the plot is so much uglier than the 3d one:

contourplot3d(-(1/2)*y^2-(1/2)*x^2-(1-.3)/sqrt((x+.3)^2+y^2)+((-1)*.3)/sqrt((x-1+.3)^2+y^2), x = -1.5 .. 1.5, y = -1.5 .. 1.5, view = -2 .. -1.3, axes = boxed)

Is there any way I can get the same detail in the 2d one as there is in the 3d one.

Thanks in advance!

Hello! I am facing the problem to making the grahp of system of ODEs in the attached file from eta=-1..1. Please see the attachment and fixed it. I will be waiting your positive response.

With my best regards and sincerely.

I having a hard time with defining a vector, in order to store in it some data, then plot it and export it to a file, I copied all what's in the help instructures but it doesn't work everytime, please it's urgent for my PhD thesis !

Hi, I was wondering, as stated in the title, if it is possible to plot/draw a triangle knowing only the sides and angles, and not the coordinates for each point making up its corners. If not, what would be the easiest way, to calculate the coordinates using the sides and angles (assuming I know the value for each side and corner) and then plot/draw it?

I'm rather green when it comes to using Maple, so if you could explain it in a simple way that would be appreciated.

I  encountered a non-integrable integral in the process of solving the following process, . How to achieve its numerical solution? Such as in a looping   code:

pa[i] := pa[i-1]-(Int(subs(t = tau, Lpa[i-1]+Na1[i-1]-Na2[i-1]), tau = 0 .. t));

pw[i] := pw[i-1]-(Int(subs(t = tau, Lpw[i-1]+Nw1[i-1]-Nw2[i-1]), tau = 0 .. t)); u[i] := u[i-1]-(Int(subs(t = tau, Lu[i-1]+Nu1[i-1]+Nu2[i-1]), tau = 0 .. t));

I want plot this equations with values independents x,A,B

But this is error.

Any idea?

Does anyone know how to take a Maple plot and convert it to FITS format?  FITS is commonly used in astronomical images and stands for Flexible Image Transport System.

sol_L := dsolve({de_L, ic});

    {x(t) = (-y0 - x0) exp(-2 t) + (y0 + 2 x0) exp(-t),
      y(t) = -2 (-y0 - x0) exp(-2 t) - (y0 + 2 x0) exp(-t)}
How i can plot this?thanks

O(t) = 9.2-[(8.93*35.3)/(11.17-8.93)]*(exp(-8.93*t)-exp(-11.17*t))-8.3*exp(-11.17*t)

t betwen 0 and 1

How to plot f(x)=x in the interval -2<x<2 with a period 4?

The plot should look like this

Aslam o Alikum!

Hope everyone going fine with sound health I want to make the graph of following system of ODEs

Eq1 := diff(F(eta), eta, eta, eta, eta)-M*(eta*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta, eta))+3*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta))+(diff(F(eta), eta))*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta))-F(eta)*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta, eta)))-Ha^2*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta));
Eq2 := diff(G(eta), eta, eta)+Pr*M*(F(eta)*(diff(G(eta), eta))-eta*(diff(G(eta), eta)))+Pr*Ec*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta))^2+Nb*(diff(H(eta), eta))+diff(G(eta), eta)+Nt*(diff(G(eta), eta))^2;
Eq3 := diff(H(eta), eta, eta)+M*Sc*(F(eta)*(diff(H(eta), eta))-eta*(diff(H(eta), eta)))+Nt*(diff(F(eta), eta, eta))/Nb;

using the BC's

IC1 := F(0) = 0, ((D@@2)(F))(0) = 0, (D(G))(0) = 0, (D(H))(0) = 0;
     F(0) = 0, @@(D, 2)(F)(0) = 0, D(G)(0) = 0, D(H)(0) = 0
IC2 := F(1) = 1, (D(F))(1) = 0, G(1) = 1, H(1) = 1;

for Ec := .1; Nt := .1; Nb := .1; Sc := .5; Pr := 10; M := .5; and different values of Ha like Ha:=0, Ha:=2, Ha:=4, Ha:=6 and Ha:=8 in one coordinate.

I am waiting your positive response.
