I would like to see a valid reason for having the thumbs down voting for an original first posted question.

Thumbs down, because it's not a good question? (That's not a good reason)  Thumbs down because bad code? (but that would be cleared up in the answers)  Thumbs down because ...

It's apparent the administrator will not get rid of the thumbs voting system (sigh).  As a compromise I would like to suggest as I have above, remove the original thumbs down vote option for the first posted question.   There's hardly any meaningful value that comes of it besides frustrating or puzzling the poster as no one ever says "I voted down on your question because...". 

I would like to hear from anyone including the administrator what meaningful value you can expect people to gain from those down votes in a first post?
