I am working in Maple 2025:

I executed the following code:

restart:
p:=int(x ** 3 + 2 * x, x);

Maple replied with:

(x^2 + 2)^2/4

I was expecting :

x^4/4+x^2

Did Maple do this integration incorrectly?
