@Carl Love Thanks, i'll check it out.

@Carl Love  Then there's no problem if the shape is determined by the data. I thought the graph will be like a curve. But no problem if the shape is determined by the data. So from what u said how do you style it?

I know I can always rely on your replies. I've tried it with my values and the graph came out well. Thanks soooo much. I'll show my lecturer when I see him. You know I cannot do without asking question. What is the essence of the .., in M[.., [1,2]]. Also can I modify the shape of the curve thats drawn by default? if yes how?

I'll go and try it out. Guess I won't be needing the MV-Newton prog. again since the( i would have loved to say almighty but only God is almighty) versatile fsolve does it easily and conveniently. Thanks once again. You always have soluions to all my problems..

I've been wondering if this is possible and i'd be very happy if it is. Is there a way i can format the output of and fsolve(). in such a way that it does not come in curly braces, preferably, it comes out in a colomn-vector form and without the names of the variables calculated for. Just the values. Remember the MVNewton you wrote for me, I want the output of the fsolve to be like that. Is there a way?

Secondly, I've been trying to apply the newtons method for my friend here in school but i've been getting an error message that I don't understand. Maybe i've violated the usage of a syntax. Kindly help locate and tell me the error. Find attached a copy of his worksheet.
