I got it.  It had to do with the way i was saving my Notepad++ file.  It wasn't saving where I thought it was.

I execute the packages() command and it is empty.

I also run a test function.

I am not sure why it is either not seeing the with(LinearAlgebra) or is failing to execute it.

I appreciate folks like you responding to these requests.  Sometimes, Maple gets hung up on very nuanced things.

Thanks so much for your help and detailed answer.  Hang means the curser just keeps blinking at a line.  I assume it means, "...just evaluating forever."

I have purchased the 2025 version and will try it.
