It appears that once a new version of maple has been released, all refining and polishing up of the previous version stops.

It would be nice to have some residual development and bug cleaning up for older versions.  Granted it would cost and pull resources from newer version developement.  But on a positive note it might help to find bugs easier in older versions that continue to exist in the newer versions because there's less code to sift through.  And vice versa, if bugs are found in the newest version the fix be adapted to older versions and released as an update.  Of course newer coded processes would not be added but the just the bugs that were fixed.

I think there is a list of current bugs somewhere available to the public.  Is there?  Also is there a list for each version of Maple (older versions where development has stopped) of bugs that were never fixed?
