MapleToolbox2015.1MacInstaller.app was successfully completed (log tells us), but when MATLAB were booted, following error messages appeared and symbolic operations of maple failed.

This would be closely related to maple installation on MATLAB as such errors never occur for clean install of MATLABs and looks independent on OSX versions. Now javaforosx.dmg in use by instruction of Maplesoft.  Something wrong is in Maple2015. Note maple-MATLAB link works normally.

Please provide us with direction of how to fix it hopefully by Maplesoft professionals.

Is this what is supposed to happen when linking Maple to Matlab?  I was hoping it would open the actual Matlab program and write variables to the current worksheet.  I'm I missing something?

Nothing even pops up on the Matlab Command window. What good is this?

Leading on from this post I made before:

http://www.mapleprimes.com/questions/210359-Integrating-Very-Large-Sums

I have a script that can now integrate larger sums thanks to the tips I was given. I now have a question regarding cpu usage when the calculation is run through a loop. I have attached two files. One contains the sum (large_sum.txt) which is then read in to the main Maple script (large_sum_int.mw).

When the loop is run, the first few points are calculated quite consistently with very similar cpu times. However, as the calculation progresses the cpu time suddenly increases (with larger sums than the one given it is a very severe increase) it then decreases again and returns to the time it took for the initial points to be calculated.

Is there a reason there is a sticking point in this calculation? is there a more efficient way to simplify it before it reaches the integration stage? When using simplify(...,size) the initial block takes a very long time to execute hence is not included here. This is not the largest sum that needs to be processed so I am looking for means to speed up calculation time/make it more consistent.

Any help is appreciated

This is somehow an old problem which came back and I decided to post it. So, I have some code which runs in Grid framework locally. Each node saves data directly to hard disk and there is no need to return anything at the end to the node of ID 0. Nevertheless, I noticed that memory usage on one instance of the mserver is very huge.  Moreover, this instance is all the time in S state, namely sleeping. Below you can see dump from top. I deny this is caused by some particular procedures called in my code since in this case I should rather observe more uniform memory usage. I am not sure if for this moment I could share some code with you which demonstrate this behavior. I will try to write some toy example because my productive code cannot be posted here.

Hi there.

I have a equation following:

with letters {a,b,c,d,k} is missing all solutions ,but with {z,u,w,t} letters works fine.

I am faced by the problem where I used Grid:-Seq()---locally---to do some long time computation and I am faced by the exhaustion of memory problem. I think the problem itself is related to the memory management in maple.

So the problematic function is

# Procedure: ComputeEventsCTypeGrid
#   Compute events such that three quadrics intersects in a point.
#
# Parameters:
#   Q          - a set of quadrics
#
# Output:
#   Indexes of quadrics which intersect in a point.
# TODO:
#  - Memory
#  - Cleanups
ComputeEventsCTypeGrid := proc( Q )
  local s, cType, i, j, k, rootNb, univ, sys;
  s := proc (i, j, k)
    sys := [ Q[i], Q[j], Q[k] ];
    univ := PolynomialIdeals[UnivariatePolynomial]( indets( sys )[1], sys );
    if not type( univ, constant ) then
      rootNb := nops(select(proc(x)op(x)[2]>0;end proc,RootFinding:-Isolate( univ, [ op( indets(univ ) ) ] )) ):
      if rootNb > 0 then
        return [ univ, rootNb, sys ];
      end if:
    end if:
  end proc;
  cType := [Grid:-Seq(seq(seq(s(i,j,k),k=j+1..nops(Q)),j=i+1..nops(Q)),i=1..nops(Q))];
  return cType;
end proc:

Also, I called gc() at the end of the computations but memory allocated by instances of mserver were not released. Does it mean gc() should be called from each instance separately? My final point is that I have to run some other calculations for different and bigger dataset (It will probably take 2 days to finish -- Q has around 700 polynomials of degree 2) and for this moment I cannot do this because I've gotten an error about not enough amount of memory.

Hi all,

I have the following PDE, is it solveable by Maple or not. Do I need a boundary condition and how many or I can get a general solution? I am new to Maple. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

hey guys Im new client in maple and today I was about check out the resualt of my mathematic quastion with maple.

I need a step by step solution and exact command to give me true resualts

for example

how can I expand a factorization like (x^2-y^2) to (x-y)(x+y)

in a little more  complicated form (cd-1)^2-(c-d)^2/(d^2)(c-1)=5 the value of c=?

for solve this problem I need to expand (cd-1)^2-(c-d)^2 than other expands & in the end value of c

I dont have anymore time for my mathemathic exam so know that how maple works in basic and intermadiate mathematic level is important to me

thank you guys

Hello dears! Hope all you are fine. I am facing problem to integrate some expression please see the attachment and fix the problem. I am very thankful for your favour.

It returns unevaluated.  The solution is x=-ln(3),y=0.  In fact it doesn't give a solution even if the solution is provided as the initial point.  The value of Digits doesn't seem to make a difference.
