Hi MaplePrimes,

I want to find the minimum x value for an elipse.  Namely -

x^2 + x*y + y^2 = 2.

I'm sure that the first steps are to differentiate with respect to y and set equal to zero.  This gives

x = -2y.

I'm not sure where to go from there.
