I found this option in an API command ?MapleSim,LinkModel,Simulate:

scalemethod : one of the following: "none", "minimum", "maximum", "geometric"
Method of variable scaling applied to the system.

I did not find anything about scaling in Maples help system.

What exactly does the scaling do?
