Recently i encouter a problem in Maple 12 that i had not with Maple 10...

More specific:

>g(x):=exp(1/x)+x^3;

>minimize(g(x),x=0.5..2);

with Maple 12 i get:

minimize(exp(1/x)+x^3,x = .5 .. 2)

while in Maple 10 i got the answer..

The g(x) has clearly a minimum in that range of x..

I was forced to take the first derivative and find the roots...

Please can anyone explain me why this happen??
