Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to define GF variables in Maple. If I am working in GF(2^7) for example with a specific irreducible polynomial, how do I find the result of (y-2)*(y-4)*(y-8)*(y-16) in the same field, where y is a variable of this field and all the numbers 2, 4, 8, and 16 represent polynomials (for ex: 4 = 0000100)? Is there a way to define a GF variable in maple? I couldn't find it under the existing GF package and I don't want to do the multiplications one by one, if there is a way to avoid it?
