Hi, I have the same problem that I want to manipulated large expressions of matrices on a symbolic level without having to specify the matrix elements. Just keeping the noncommutative law of matrices would help me if it will still allow commutation of scalars multiplied to the matrices. I have looked at the Physics package without luck. Did you find any solution? Best regards, Morten
