@Carl Love Thanks again. You're right, the problem is math mode and 2D input. Like I said in my previous comment's edit, choosing text mode and using maple input solved the problem. I think I'll get used to the old-school command and code writing :)

When it comes to this point, hitting return has no effect at all. I can delete the sin(Pi/4); expression but the enter key never works again unless I restart the program.

Edit: I've just discovered that the commands work when I enter them in text mode, but the problem with math mode still happens. I think I'll stick with the text mode for now. Any additional help is very much appreciated.
