I tracked the problem down to the fact that somehow I am missing the Optimization.hdb file in the /Library/Frameworks/Maple.framework/Versions/10/lib directory where the help files are located for Maple 10 on Mac OS X. I think one of the Maple updates 10.0x must have inadvertently deleted these files since a colleague of mine with a vanilla 10.0 installation on Mac has these files. Can someone from Maplesoft check the updater code for Mac OS X?
