@acer that makes sense, I thought I hadn't seen unassign be used in this context before ;). And yes, it works as it should now, thanks a lot :)

@acer I tried unassigning, and now Maple says that "argument must be assignable").

If it isn't solvable, thats OK, I just wanted to know whether I was extremely dumb, or if I am limited by the way Maple handles these things, since I couldn't find anyone having this issue/question online.
