thank you. The previous problem has been solved more or less, i then paste columns of data from my excel (so far still did not figure out how to read directly from excel columns into the Vector).

then i tried the following:

ans1 := Fit(a*x^n+bx+c, V, C, x);

which returned an answer with a and b values

but when i tried

ans2 := Fit(a*x^n+b*x+c, V, C, x, output = [parametervalues, residualsumofsquares]);

to get the Rsquared value, the a and b values are different. please see attached. and i dont know how to plot out ans 2.

thank you. The previous problem has been solved more or less, i then paste columns of data from my excel (so far still did not figure out how to read directly from excel columns into the Vector).

then i tried the following:

ans1 := Fit(a*x^n+bx+c, V, C, x);

which returned an answer with a and b values

but when i tried

ans2 := Fit(a*x^n+b*x+c, V, C, x, output = [parametervalues, residualsumofsquares]);

to get the Rsquared value, the a and b values are different. please see attached. and i dont know how to plot out ans 2.
