I suppose this topic has come across many peoples minds at one time or another and I've only taken this number for granted and with a grain of salt.  I have become curious as to what other Maple users would run the memory usage up to?

For myself I find on average usually running below 10Mb or so.  I suppose this is average, for me, but I haven't usually created large worksheets, I don't think I've ever let it run over 40Mb.  Is it not uncommon for someone to run it up into 100Mb? or is that considered relatively high?

What I find strange is that a 1Mb text file using readdata runs the memory usage instantly into the 12Mb territory!?  On some large worksheets my laptop turns into a bit of a slug, of course playing around with lists is most certainly going to run up that figure quite fast but usually when I get that high I start another sheet or restart and gc().

What is the usual?  This would make a good poll question, what is your average Maple memory usage?  under 5 between 5 and 30, 30-50, 50-100, over 100Mb?  On that note many poll questions were asked on the old mapleprimes, do the results of those polls exist somewhere?
