@Thomas Richard Alright thank you, I dont like that it works like this though. Basic math at university doesnt need all these other solutions, I wish it could work just like before.

@tomleslie

Is there some way to make it work like that in some settings...?

@tomleslie I get you, however, is it possible for Maple to gives only the solution as in previous version? Id like to just click the solve option in the right side as always

Does noone have a solution to this "problem"? It is a major change from 2018 to 2019 version, I can no longer skip to the next line without the equation being executed!

In 2018 version I could go math mode and type P = 2x+5, then I could swap to text mode and ENTER then it would go the the next line without executing the damn equation. This is so annoying not being able to do this in the 2019 version.

Non fix??

@Ronan

Hi Ronan, I know this already, but it wasnt necessary to press shift+F5 in the previous versions, like the Maple 2018.

I don't want to press shift+F5 every single time, should be somehow to avoid this.

@Christian Wolinski

I dont want this, when I enter an equation in math mode, then switch to text mode and hit enter for next line, then it executes the equation even though I switched to text mode - it didn't do this in the previous versions.

Now it does this which is really annoying, I dont want it to execute!

Anyone? .... this is quite important.

Yes I know that, but that way you have to solve it by yourself. What I am asking is a way to make Maple solve it, going through the solving step by step so that I can see how it is done. Something like "manipulate equation". Am I wrong when I say that "manipulate equation" cannot solve it automatically? Jonas
