I wasn't aware of MultiSeries.

Interesting, that as soon as I add 

> with(MultiSeries);

at the beginning of a maple file (.ws), the result for 

evalf(limit(CylinderU(0, CylinderU(0, x)), x=0));

becomes correct, even without explicitly writing MultiSeries:-
