Thanks for sharing this, Samir. So, multi-threading can be used effectively with this kind of task. Those pics look decent, finally something above the usual 3D valleys with plot3d. But there is surely even more possible with Maple. 

Great to see an expert like Robert having lots of time for Maple at hand. A first suggestion: A picture google search for "3D fractals" shows really impressive plots, this should be possible do do with Maple. I'm wondering if for those demanding computations multi threading and/or CUDA support can be used.

Additionally, it would be useful if there would be a way to execute custom defined Maple prodedures in Excel, not just a few Maple commands that fit into a single line. Any ideas ?
